Juliana Birthday: March 18, 2013 Height: 6.75 inches/17 cm as posed
The puppy I finally got around to doing. As soon as I dyed her fabric, I knew it was going to be a fancy little pup. I had many ideas for this one, and finally settled for a sitting pose, where the puppy's body is close to the ground. Thank you for those who watched me work on this little baby and kept me company. I experimented a lot with acrylic paints (used professional grade), needle sculpting brow bones and nose, and waxing. It has been almost a year since I last waxed a nose, and I was very pleased with the result. She has all 4 paw pads needle felted for a cute puppy pose. Her face was shaded with pastels, ears and pads shaded with acrylic.
Mediums: Hand dyed German Helmbold Mohair, German Glass Eyes, Wool, Cotter Pin Joint, Upcycled Polyfil, Minky, Beeswax, Acrylic Paint

Thank you! This was the piece that I tried dry brushing acrylic on. I had to set the minky with heat afterwards so it wouldn't run. My bf recently got an airbrush machine so I'm going to see how I feel about airbrushing next time. I would probably make some plastic stencils
